Tonight I saw the Peking Acrobats show. WOW is all I can say. This show was amazing. Their site is http://www.myspace.com/pekingacrobats and they really do the act on the video! The chairs are on glass bottles!! INSANE! I bought the tickets last September and took Valarie for her birthday... its on Monday. We met for dinner then went to the show. I am still blown away.
One thing though was slightly disturbing. One young girl in the show. Disturbing. Not even double jointed, SO much more than that. She was on her back with her feet and hands in the air, holding things up. Then while keeping her hands and feet still in the same place balancing things, she rolled over on to her belly, moving just her torso. I can't even explain it! Hips don't move that way so how can I put into words!!! Craziness!
I told Val about this blog tonight. She's the only person I have told. I think she's going to laugh! :) Huh Val, you like it?? I guess I really shouldn't keep it hidden. It isn't like I am ashamed of it. Still it is almost like writing in a journal for the world to read. The idea is a little intimidating.
So I got motivated last night when I got home from work. I went right into the spare room! I have 3 bags full to donate! Yeah, I had 2 twin size bedding sets! 2!!! I don't know why. One set was the FULL set, comforter, bed skirt, pillow sham, sheets, curtains and a toss pillow! Why do I still have this when I haven't had a twin bed since I was still living at my parents house in my early 20's! I had a queen set before I moved out!! I don't know.
But I have 3 bags for donating and SO many bags of trash that I want to take outside this weekend. I really want to get that room in good shape. Now I need to start going through all of the clothes in my bedroom. How one person can accumulate that many clothes is beyond me!!
OH!! Ha ha ha! Valerie is going to love this one! She told her 7 year old son that her and I were going to see the Dalai Lama. He said, "Oh mama can I go" with his face all light up. She said, "you know, the Dalai Lama isn't a Lama, he's a man. Were going to hear him talk." Gotta love how kids minds work! :)
Gotta love you Julie! You know I do. Love , Valerie.
