Overall, this has been a very nice weekend. I was exhausted by the end of the week, so I stayed in Friday night, watched some TV and I was in bed by 10pm. I slept until almost 9am! (I woke up 12 minutes before my alarm was going to go off! That never happens! Today I woke up 14 minutes before the alarm! SO WEIRD!)
Yesterday I went up to my mom's house to see her. I had to drop off my suitcase for her to borrower for her trip to Aruba. SO jealous, but I guess my parents deserve it. I talked her into walking the pond with me. It was a nice 2 1/2 mile walk. Nice day, and I felt good getting some exercise.
Then I drove up to Valerie's house. She taught me to knit a hat!! (Crossed something else off the 101 list!!) I'm working on it right now. Not sure how wonderful this hat is going to turn out, but hey, I learned out to knit a hat! AND she taught to to purl. I don't like that all that much, but now I know at least.
And we went out for dinner last night, Valerie, her husband and their son. He's SO funny! (the one who thought the Dalia Lama was a Lama). We played hungry hungry hippo. I love that game!!
Today was fun too... woke up, watched some tv and chilled out before getting ready, then I had a meet up group activity. We went out for brunch at this great place on the water. It was fun. I really like this group of women. They plan a ton of events and I really like the people! Great conversation and just a nice group.
After brunch, I stopped home for a bit and changed, then it was off to another meet up activity! Yup, 2 in one day! This was a new group for me. It is an exercise type group. We did the president's fitness challenge, remember the one from school? I did pretty good, but the stupid crunch things were horrible! And I thought I had good abs!!! That's the one thing I do well! And I couldn't do it! Everything else I did ok in... 50% on walking, I did 80% and 85% on flexibility and push ups, but a 25% on the 1/2 sit ups. I DID NOT like those! OH well.. it is done for now, but I'll try it again in another 3 months.
I really liked the organizer of this group. She already sent me an email too. Her and I walked the 1 mile together. She said it was her fastest time. I liked her and I hope that her and I can get together to walk other times too. I just signed up for another 3 or 4 events with this group now that I met some members. It should be fun! :)
I like feeling positive. I feel good that I did 2 days in a row of healthy stuff. Hopefully tomorrow I can keep that up! I'm going out for dinner twice this week, both at Mexican restaurants. Hopefully I can make ok choices for dinner.
Maybe I should do more work on the spare room. OH! I called to have the bags picked on. They are coming on March 25th. I have 3 done, but I'd like to have more bags ready for pick up for them by then too. 3 was too easy!
This is good, having this blog is a nice way for me to keep track of my list. I'm one of those people who gets all excited right in the beginning, but then loses interest after a while... I hope I don't do that with this. I hope I keep doing it and stay on top of it. So far so good. But I've been doing easy ones. Some are harder. We'll see.
Ok, I'm going to enjoy the rest of this beautiful day before starting another work week!!
