What's next

On April 11th, I walked in the MS Walk for my friend Robyn. It was a beautiful day and a nice 6 miles along Plymouth, MA. While we were walking our group was talking about what was sore. For me it was weird. It was pain that felt like a shin splint, but on the outside of my right ankle.
All last week I could feel it but it felt like the muscle. I just took it easy and figured it would go away.
This week, it started getting even worse. It was swollen and got a bruise right on my ankle. I figured that if I called the doctor, all they would say would be take it easy, take Advil, and use ice. So I didn't call.
It was pretty bad this morning. I finally called and asked for the nurse. She told me to come in because it could be a stress fracture. I saw the doctor and she said the same thing. She sent me for an xray. I'm STILL waiting to hear back!
I left the xray place at noon. I called the doctors office at 4:30 and they were still waiting on the radiology report. So no news yet.
The doctor wrapped it in an Ace Bandage and that helps a little, but now the swelling is all near my toes and its all puffy! And she told me to get crutches and stay off of it either way for a few days.
Now it is just a waiting game. Lucky me! I wouldn't be surpised if it is broken. I'm just injury prone. But yeah, I might have broken my ankle WALKING!
